As Chairman of the Oceania Cyber Security Centre (OCSC), Mr Boardman is responsible for setting the strategic direction of the Centre, ensuring that OCSC meets it stakeholder and member expectations regarding cybersecurity research, maturity reviews and capacity-building.
Previously Mr Boardman was the Chief Executive Officer of au Domain Administration Ltd (auDA), the policy authority and industry self-regulatory body for the .au Top Level Domain namespace. Preceding his role at auDA, Mr Boardman held the position as the Executive Director for Investor Engagement within the Department of Economic Development, Jobs, Transport and Resources and led the Victorian Government’s investment activities within its priority economic sectors. As the Executive Director for Innovation, Technology and Industry Programs within the Department of State Development, Business and Innovation, Mr Boardman had responsibility to implement the government’s innovation, technology and science agenda and associated policies.
Erstwhile to Mr Boardman’s time within the Victorian Government, Mr Boardman successfully led the economic development activities for the Hong Kong SAR Government in Australia and New Zealand, completing over 150 investment projects. He was elected as a Member of the Parliament of Victoria in 1996 and served two terms.
