Secure Relational Database Management System (SRDBMS)

Improve security of relational database management through the development of symmetric searchable encryption (SSE) scheme to:

  • Transparently support normal SQL queries of encrypted data
  • Minimise overhead for encryption / decryption operations
  • Remove the need for trusted proxy between client and server
  • Support role based access control through Attribute Based Encryption

Outcome: The project will develop a performance optimised secure relational database management system (SRDBMS) without the need for a trusted proxy.
